My Neighbour Totoro is playing at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West End. This stage version of Studio Ghibli’s 1988 animated film follows one extraordinary summer in the lives of sisters Satsuki and Mei, exploring childhood, imagination and the fantasy world that opens around them.

The production is created in collaboration with Improbable and Nippon TV, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Executive Producer Joe Hisaishi. It has won six Olivier Awards and is adapted by Tom Morton-Smith from the celebrated film.

Described by the source as a record-breaking, award-winning return, the show combines live performance with puppets, including some large-scale puppets that interact in the audience space.

The age recommendation is 6+.
