About Oliver!

Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It opened in London on Saturday 14 December 2024 following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Based on Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more, the Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning musical features songs including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me.

Produced and revised by Cameron Mackintosh, Oliver! is directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne and co-directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy. The production is designed by Lez Brotherston, with lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs, sound by Adam Fisher, video by George Reeve and music supervision by Graham Hurman.

Recommended for ages 7+. No refunds or exchanges after purchase. Matt Lucas will play Fagin from 22 September to 1 November 2026, and will not be performing on Friday 9th October or Thursday 29th October at 2:30pm.
