The vibrant sounds of southern Africa come to the Barbican's historic church for one night only.

The rich sounds and culture of southern Africa comes to the Barbican's historic church, St Giles Cripplegate on October 18th for one night only.

Come and join us for a celebration of the joyous melodies of Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana, played by the acclaimed southern African marimba band, Otto and the Mutapa Calling.

The music is played on traditional instruments including marimba (African xylophone) and mbira (African kalimba), with percussion, singing and dance. The traditional songs are woven together with rich stories, making it a night of learning, celebration and connection.
