Discover the art of flower pressing and learn how to transform pressed blooms into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece of artwork for your home.

Led by Antonia Campbell-Evans, our in-house florist and passionate crafter, this workshop will introduce you to the history and techniques of flower pressing while guiding you through the creation of a framed floral artwork.

The session begins with a collaborative group project, creating an extra-large pressed flower piece. You'll learn how to "draw" with pressed flowers, exploring composition, colour and texture while working with these delicate natural materials.

You will then create your own framed artwork using flowers harvested from the Petersham gardens and surrounding landscape in previous seasons. Craft a unique botanical display for your home or a thoughtful gift for a loved one, while learning which flowers are best suited to pressing and how to preserve them for lasting beauty.

No experience is necessary. Antonia will guide you throughout the process, sharing her enthusiasm for botanical crafts and ensuring you leave with an exquisite piece of artwork.
