About This Event

On 5 September 2026, the Royal Court Theatre in London will stage *Man to Man*, a one-woman play set in 1930s Germany. The narrative follows a woman who, following her husband’s death, dons his trousers and steadfastly refuses to remove them, a quiet but potent act of defiance that sustains her through the creeping horrors of war and dictatorship. This production examines how identity is reshaped under political oppression, with the performer’s solitary presence evoking both intimacy and endurance. The piece unfolds as a stark, unflinching portrait of survival, where a single garment becomes a symbol of resilience. Ticket prices are available on the venue’s website.
