On a crisp winter evening, a diverse ensemble of musicians will gather at The Great North Wood to perform a tribute to the spirit of rebellion, celebrating the timeless anthems that have defined generations. The evening's set list will feature a mix of classic and contemporary songs that embody the essence of resistance and defiance, transporting the audience to a world where music has long been a powerful force for change. As the dimly lit venue is bathed in the warm glow of stage lights, the collective energy of the musicians and the crowd will create a truly unforgettable atmosphere. This dynamic performance promises to be a cathartic experience for those who crave a sonic representation of their inner fire.
Rebel Rebel is a pub hours club night playing glam, punk, indie, soul, funk, disco, garage rock, rock'nroll, 60s pop, 80s pop and whatever else takes our fancy!
We believe you don't have to stay out late to have a good time, and shouldn't have to venture far from home either. So we're over by midnight and local - run in West Norwood by someone who lives in West Norwood for anyone who wants to dance in SE27
We'll play:
David Bowie * Buzzcocks * Joy Division * The Supremes * James Brown * Blondie * Chic * The Who * The Specials * Ramones Little Richard * Pet Shop Boys * Pixies * Aretha Franklin * Jimi Hendrix * Kate Bush Soft Cell * Thin Lizzy & whatever we want
The Tunnels
The Tunnels is a "suburban science fantasy ghost story" for fans of Douglas Adams and Kurt Vonnegut. It was reviewed in the Financial Times and they said: "The Tunnels embodies a very English sense of absurdity, putting Lewis Carroll, Monty Python and Douglas Adams in a blender with a generous helping of pop-culture references and fantasy motifs.” This is my debut novel.
