About RENT

RENT at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London is Jonathan Larson’s musical, returning to the West End in a new production directed by Luke Sheppard.

Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, it follows the joy, uncertainty and resilience of a generation determined to make every moment count. The story centres on community and connection, with a score and narrative that continue to resonate.

Thirty years after it redefined musical theatre, RENT stars Gaten Matarazzo as Mark.
