Future Myth is a bold new project from pianist and composer Rick Simpson, bringing together ten of the UK’s most compelling improvisers for an exploration of collective spontaneity and Simpson’s own written material. Balancing rich compositional structures with open-ended freedom, the music thrives on the dynamic interplay between individuals and the ensemble as a whole.
The line up of leading UK musicians each bring their distinctive approach to this fluid and ever-evolving sound world and are given free reign to lead the ensemble as they wish.
