RSAC brings together experts across disciplines to explore cutting‑edge research and solutions for managing global and emerging risks.

The Imperial Business School's Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI) and School of Economics and Management (SEM), Tsinghua University, are proud to present the 2026 Risk Sciences Annual Conference!

As the complexity of global risks continues to accelerate, from climate and environmental challenges to financial instability, technological disruption, and geopolitical uncertainty, the need for rigorous, interdisciplinary approaches to risk analysis has never been greater. RSAC brings together leading academics, industry leaders, market participants, and policymakers to explore cutting-edge research and practical innovations in risk modelling, measurement, and management.

This event fosters dialogue across disciplines including economics, finance, computer science, engineering, life sciences, mathematics, and statistics. Presentations and discussions will delve into how emerging analytical tools, new data sources, and evolving theoretical frameworks can shape better decision-making in a world characterised by uncertainty and rapid change.

Key themes will include:

Novel de-risking solutions for resilience and adaptation

AI-related risks and opportunities

Keynote speakers: Franklin Allen (Imperial College), Michail Anthropelos (University of Piraeus), Adriane Esquivel Muelbert (University of Cambridge), Eli Fenichel (Yale University), Shiyang Huang (University of Hong Kong), Phillip Yam (Chinese University of Hong Kong), Jakub Marecek (Czech Technical University in Prague), Mogens Steffensen (University of Copenhagen), Julia Tavares (University of Leeds).

The conference will feature the inaugural 2026 Ken Seng Tan Award, recognising outstanding interdisciplinary research that advances risk sciences.

The conference is jointly organised by the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI), Imperial Business School and the School of Economics and Management (SEM), Tsinghua University.
