Join us at the Eel Pie Island Museum to soak up the history of this incredible Thames isle, before heading to the nearby Twickenham Club for a deeper dive into the many artists and diverse musical stylings that graced the stage of the legendary 'Eelpiland' venue.
The museum will be open between 5 - 6pm, for you to enjoy exclusive access to our displays, with our friendly team on hand share their knowledge and stories.
We will then stroll on to the Twickenham Club (just a couple of minutes walk away), for the second part of the evening, where you will find EPIM music specialist, Pete Watt, ready to entertain and enlighten you with an illustrated jaunt through the Eel Pie Island music story, which began 70 years ago in 1956.
The Twickenham Club has a licensed bar, so you can grab yourselves a drink to wet your whistle in readiness for the Q&A session afterwards.
Gather up your music-loving mates and come and join us!
5 - 6pm - Museum visit
6pm - stroll across to the Twickenham Club
6.30pm - Pete Watt 'Rock Island Lives'presentation starts
7.30pm - Q&A's
8pm end time
You are welcome to stay for more drinks in the Twickenham Club after the event, or explore the rest of the area. Church Street is fully pedestrianised, with a variety of great pubs and restaurants if you'd like to have dinner, or the Barmy Arms on the riverside is a great spot overlooking the island.
Unfortunately this event is not fully wheelchair accesible.
