Join RIBA Learning, and artist and educator Marianne Holm Hansen at the Garden Museum to observe, draw and model the connections and junctions between buildings and landscapes, interiors and exteriors. Taking inspiration from the Garden Museum, a thoughtfully converted and extended church, we will think about how indoor and outdoor spaces are connected to one another. How do architects and landscape architects design buildings and gardens that blur the boundary between inside and out? Explore the edges of interiors and exteriors using drawing, collage and model-making techniques to communicate your ideas, you will be tasked with designing your own building and garden entrance: a porch over a front door, a pavilion in a public park or the meeting point of a building and courtyard garden.
