This talk showcases four years of collaborative work by the Language for Science team at CLCC to standardise assessment criteria, achievement bands, and feedback across languages providing learners with clear guidelines and teams with a shared marking vocabulary. Beginning with Spanish rubrics implemented on Blackboard, the team developed a ‘Lego-style’ repository: stackable, interchangeable descriptors and criteria sets that snap together for any assessment type. The involvement of French and German coordinators marked a pivotal expansion: critically appraising and refining criteria, interrogating weightings, and finding ways to quantify sophisticated outcomes such as intercultural awareness, lifelong learning, and reflexivity. The result is a living, shared repository, a work in progress which aims to simplify rubrics, to adapt them to Canvas, and refine them through collegial practice. Join us to explore how the repository can work for you!
