PRE-MUSHROOM SEASON PREPARATION
As we welcome autumn’s cooler and wetter weather, join SLMC for a session on preparing for the mushroom foraging season.
Whether you have been finding food in the forest for years, or you’ve been meaning to try it out, this session will be an opportunity to learn, discuss and share:
How to find and map good spots to find fungi
Best practices in mushroom picking, useful equipment and fungi ID tips
How to preserve your finds through drying, pickling and fermenting
All are welcome. An optional donation is welcome to help cover club expenses.
