In the heart of The City, just moments from Liverpool Street Station, The Otherist offers an elegant and relaxed setting. Its spacious sunken lounge is the perfect backdrop for making new connections. Great music, a chilled atmosphere, an awesome host (although we’re biased), and excellent service from the venue team make this a genuinely fun evening.

Your host will be at the venue from 19:30 to welcome you. Please arrive on time for registration, grab a drink from the bar, and receive a brief overview of how the evening works. You’ll be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and a note card to keep track of everyone you meet.

Ladies will be seated at comfortably spaced, discreetly numbered tables. When speed dating begins, gents will rotate between tables for 5-minute dates, giving you the chance to get to know one another. Your host will signal the end of each date and guide rotations in ascending numerical order.

Between each date, you’ll have a moment to jot down your thoughts and note whether you’d like to reconnect — for your reference only.

Midway through the evening, there will be a 15-minute comfort break to use the facilities, visit the bar, or socialise. Dating will then resume for the second half of the evening.

Once the speed dating rounds are complete, the bar will remain open for relaxed socialising. Later, log in to your dashboard to leave feedback and see your matches — created when interest is mutual — so you can continue the conversation at your own pace.
