About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins, 1959, before the events of Stranger Things. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado as Henry Creel arrives in town and a normal summer begins to change.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take the Stranger Things story back to its beginning.

The show has received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 12 and over. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive by 30 minutes before the start time. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval.
