About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is a stage production set in Hawkins in 1959, before the events of the television series. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado as everyday problems in a small town are disrupted by the arrival of new student Henry Creel and the shadows of the past.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to retell the story’s origins and explore how the Stranger Things world began. It is presented as a new adventure that looks back to the start of the story and towards what may come next.

Duration: approximately 3 hours, including an interval.
