About This Event

Sunday in the Park with George is a gorgeous musical with tunes and lyrics by the legendary Stephen Sondheim. The book comes from James Lapine. The story is inspired by the French post-impressionist painter Georges Seurat's masterpiece A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte and revolves around George, a fictional Seurat, and his great grandson, another fictional George. The resulting musical is absolutely, dazzlingly brilliant.
