The Early Years and Sennen are set to perform together for the first time since 2007 at The Social in London on 17 November 2026. The event is part of a UK tour following their reunification as labelmates.
The Early Years and Sennen head out for their first live dates together since 2007 on a UK tour this November. Now reunited as labelmates on celebrated indie imprint Sonic Cathedral, both bands grew out of the fertile UK shoegaze adjacent scene of the early 2000s - the former more influenced by krautrock and drone, the latter combining post-rock and harmonies - but they've been silent for the best part of a decade. Until now. The Early Years released their long-awaited third album, Modern Moonlight , at the end of May to great acclaim, while Sennen are also gearing up to share their first new material in over a decade.
The Early Years formed in East London in 2005 and have released three albums, each ten years apart: 2006's self-titled debut for Beggars Banquet, 2016's II , named as one of Uncut 's Greatest Albums of the 2010s, and this year's long-awaited Modern Moonlight . They have been remixed by the late, great Andrew Weatherall, praised by Brian Eno and played with Ride. Their live shows are the stuff of legend, and these will be their first for over eight years. "Rich productions that channel Joy Division, A Certain Ratio and shimmering, DFA-style grooves. A multi-layered treat, and their finest album yet" - Electronic Sound "The band's one-album-per-decade output rate may be lamentable, but at least The Early Years compensate for their ack of productivity with a firm handle on quality control" - Uncut

Sennen formed in Norwich in 2002 and released their hugely acclaimed debut album Widows in 2005. Its blend of post-rock soundscapes and indie-pop harmonies made it stand out, and they went on to release another four albums and tour extensively over the following years. Their most recent album was 2016's First Light , and other than three dates to promote a reissue of Widows in 2021 - their first release for Sonic Cathedral - they've not toured since. "Fuses post-rock time signatures with the ethereal beauty of early Ride or Chapterhouse" - Under The Radar "One of the best shoegaze records of all time" - Resident Music
