The production combines Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score with scenery and special effects. It first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and has since won 70 major theatre awards and been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.
Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performance times: Monday to Friday 7.30pm; Saturday 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
