About The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera at 57 Haymarket, London, is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical adaptation of the tragic love story set beneath the Paris Opera House. It follows the Phantom, shamed by his appearance and feared by others, and his feelings for Christine Daaé.
The production combines Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score with scenery and special effects. It first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and has since won 70 major theatre awards and been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.
Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performance times: Monday to Friday 7.30pm; Saturday 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Before you book
Children under 4 are not admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.
You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket, and you should print it and bring it on the day. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. You may also need to present valid ID. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
