About This Event

Come on in and gather round, we'd like to welcome you to The Poetry Lounge! Hi, we're Katie and Phoebe and we've been hosting The Poetry Lounge since March 2022 (and we love it) - thanks so much for finding us! The Poetry Lounge is held on the first Wednesday of the month in The Belle Starr Lounge at London's finest pub (The Boogaloo, 312 Archway Rd, Highgate, N6 5AT). Our intention is, and has always been, to create a fun, safe, supportive environment in which to celebrate London's community of writers and spoken word performers and facilitate new work and connections. Whether you are a performer, friend or lover of all things literature we'd love you to be part of it! And if it's your first time performing anywhere, we will make sure you feel supported. We have 3 different tickets available; - First timer open mic performer (this is exclusively for you if you've never performed at The Poetry Lounge before) - Open mic performer (this is for you if you're a first timer OR you've performed at The Poetry Lounge before and would like to again) - Audience (if you'd like to listen!) Saving the best 'til last, the final section of the evening will bear witness to London's first limerick slam. Expect fun, filth and everything in-between. If you have any questions, please let us know. Either via email (thepoetryloungelondon@gmail.com) or Instagram (@thepoetryloungelondon). We'll see you soon! Katie and Phoebe (your Poetry Lounge hosts)
