The Royal Army Chaplains’ Museum Annual Lecture.
An evening of history, humour and military life with Al Murray.
Following the success of our previous event with Tom Holland, The Royal Army Chaplains' Department is delighted to welcome Al Murray as guest speaker for this year's annual fundraising lecture hosted in the iconic surroundings of the Guards Chapel, London.
Perhaps best known for his irreverent wit and celebrated character The Pub Landlord, Al Murray is also a passionate student of military history, with a particular interest in Britain's Armed Forces and the people who serve within them. From Al Murray and James Holland's WW2 podcast 'We Have Ways of Making You Talk' we can be confident that this event will be an entertaining and thought-provoking evening that promises to explore the role of a military chaplain.
Through the lens of WW2 chaplains, Al will talk about chaplaincy at the moral centre in difficult times - the still small voice in horrendous circumstances.
Whether you come for the history, humour or simply the chance to hear one of Britain's most distinctive voices in such an iconic setting, this is an evening not to be missed. All funds raised will further the work of the Royal Army Chaplains’ Museum.
Tickets via Eventbrite include a £5 suggested donation. Should you need any help with booking please contact Padre Daniel Alcock at daniel.alcock102@mod.gov.uk
