Ever wanted to learn the joyful stick dance of Upper Egypt? Join me for a whole afternoon of Saidi, one of the most fun and energetic styles of belly dance! **⚠️ Please note: to secure your spot you must book through my website here:** **[https://www.leilahbellydancer.com/thesaidimasterclass](https://www.leilahbellydancer.com/thesaidimasterclass)** RSVPing on Meetup alone does not reserve your place. In this masterclass I'll take you through Saidi properly, from the very first twirl of the cane to a full choreography of your own. **What we'll cover** 🌟 The story, music and rhythm of Saidi 🌟 Cane technique from scratch: how to hold, swing and twirl the assaya 🌟 The signature Saidi moves and steps 🌟 A full Saidi choreography by the end of the afternoon **Who it's for** Everyone! Total beginners are so welcome, and if you've been dancing for a while you'll still come away with new technique and a fresh choreography. No partner or experience needed. **Details** 📅 Saturday 11th October 🕛 12:15pm to 3pm 📍 The Place, Studio 1, 16 Flaxman Terrace, London WC1H 9AT (near King's Cross and Euston) 🎟️ Early bird £35, then £40 🪄 Saidi canes available to buy on the day for £20 or online **What to bring** Comfy clothes you can move in, water, and a cane if you have one (if not, you can buy one there).
