Who is this course suitable for?

SLTs working with patients with a tracheostomy (paeds and adults)

SLTs who are interested in learning more about the management of people with a tracheostomy across different pathways

What will be covered?

This day will include:

Tracheostomy cannulation: the ICU perspective

Ward step down and ICU Transition

Preparing to discharge with a tracheostomy

Neuro-Rehabilitation with a tracheostomy

Community care and upskilling

The lived experience: life with and after trache

Preparing and training for home with a trache (peads)

Opportunity to reflect and problem-solve

Other useful things to know:

Lunch will not be provided. There are cafes and restaurants located nearby.

The venue is in a central location and within a 3 minute walk from Euston station.

The closest tube stations are Euston, Euston Square and Warren Street.
