TV For Cats and Iko Chérie will perform at Mascara Bar on 12 November 2026. TV For Cats creates music that combines bright melodies with melancholic lyrics, while Iko Chérie, the project of Marie Merlet, offers a blend of dub textures and pop vocals. The event is scheduled to start at 19:30 and tickets are priced at £6.18.
TV For Cats make songs that feel bright and immediate on the surface, but unravel into something far stranger the longer you sit with them. Melancholy lyrics meet with impossible catchy melodies and driving synths, always teetering skilfully on the boundary between the playful and the profound.
Iko Chérie is the solo project of French-born, London-based multi-instrumentalist Marie Merlet. She blends dub-inflected textures, pop tinged vocals, reverb-drenched guitars, Casio drones, and warm experimental noises – creating her own intimate, fragile sound.
