BBC Young Folk Awards and New Roots finalists, Isobel, Lydia and Ellie – the Barber Sisters – are a string trio from the Peak District. With a particular love for Scottish folk music, the Barber Sisters have been influenced by bands such as RANT. They play arrangements of original and traditional tunes on fiddle and viola, and for our Burns Night ceilidh they will be joined by accordion and guitar.
This is a fun and inclusive evening of music and dancing. No experience necessary - all the dances are carefully explained. Come with friends or by yourself - it's a great way to meet new people. Bar provided.
Waterloo Ceilidhs is a leading ceilidh series at St John's Church, opposite Waterloo station. Featuring some of the country's top ceilidh bands and callers, we bring inclusive and high-energy ceilidhs to the London music scene.
Tickets
We want to keep our prices affordable, whilst showcasing the country's top ceilidh bands in this wonderful venue in Central London. There are three price options - standard admission, supporters (pay a bit more to help us get this ceilidh series of the ground and safeguard future events), or concessions (subsidised option for students or people without a steady income).
