Wesley Gonzalez

Wesley began his career in the mid-noughties at the tender age of 15. With Let's Wrestle he released 3 albums and toured internationally before breaking up in 2015. Wesley has gone on to release 3 solo albums, always varying in style but routed in his iconoclastic writing.

Wesley is back and working on a new album, taking influence from Van Morrisson's Astral Weeks and Judee Sill. Gonzalez found himself writing new work on nylon string guitar as a necessity to play music late into the evening, finding himself at a period of virgin sobriety. This sentiment is reflected in the songs, but we also find him lampooning modern society in song 'Twelve Newlyweds' about the Channel 4 reality show 'Stranded on Honeymoon Island’. 'I Hate Your Driving' is written from the perspective of our United Kingdom of gammon people, taking influence from the Working Men's Club Folk Laureate Jake Thackeray and the sneering humour of Randy Newman.

Nev Clay

Wesley is excited to have one of the UKs best singer songwriters Nev Clay play a rare London show! Nev's a retired mental health nurse from Longbenton, North Tyneside. He's been clarting around the local music scene in North East England for 34 years. Originally a heavy metal guitarist, he started fingerpicking acoustic guitar after he fell and smashed his wrist in 1994. Nev recently recorded a BBC Session for Riley & Coe. He was once kicked in the face by Nick Cave.
