Hi all, cost & info below, a walk that has never been operated in the evening before. Only operated 2 years ago as a midweek walk. Please join everyone for a fun, 3 mile Lost London linear **Lantern Walk** around Westminster and Millbank. The walk starts from the Feathers Pub (opposite St James Park Underground Station) and ends at Victoria Station. Some brief local info along the way, it has wonderful hidden areas and colourful highlights, lost alleyways and simply amazing things to see! A beautiful area to walk at night with old gas fire lamps, old lanes and courtyards. Highlights of the walk, where the 1966 Football World Cup was stolen, haunted alleyways, a home fireplace where a family sat around, the house was destroyed in WW2 but the fireplace still sits with the chimney in place, on the road! The remains of the notorious Millbank prison and also Bridewell Prison, The largest Catholic Cathedral in the Country (view inside if open), the Georgian think-tank townhouse where Brexit, fossil fuel and other lobby groups reside, a significant WW2 damaged building, and WW2 shelter. Lost secret streets used in filming for Atonement, Sherlock Holmes and Mary Poppins, a wonderful old cafe that has been used in Hollywood films and series, a beautiful present Westminster garden that was once a huge graveyard with bodysnatchers!
