Join us for our Halloween special at #WPLDN: one session will change how you sell to clients after launch, and another might keep you up at night. **Simon Batchelar** explains why his agency stopped selling WordPress maintenance altogether, then **Tim Nash** revisits the sites from his favourite security talk to see whether the bad actors won. Whether you run an agency or look after client sites, this evening offers practical ideas with a little horror on the side. 🎃 📅 **Date:** 29 Oct. 2026 ⏰ **Time:** 6:00 PM 🎟️ **Cost:** Free (Registration Required) **Session 1: Why We Stopped Selling WordPress Maintenance (And Why You Should Too)** 🤝 **Speaker:** Simon Batchelar ([Pallant Studio](https://pallant.studio)) Clients hate paying for "maintenance", but they will happily pay for "updates". Since making that switch, Simon's agency has had a 100% sign-up rate. Simon will share how to structure your after-launch offer to build a business that is as predictable as it is profitable. Simon has run a marketing agency for 23 years, specialises in content creation, marketing automation and positioning, and is the author of Reframing Marketing. **Session 2: Return to the Darkside** 🎃 🤝 **Speaker:** Tim Nash ([timnash.co.uk](https://timnash.co.uk)) Tim has been giving WordPress security talks for 17 years, but has the world changed, and is the old advice still valid? His personal favourite, Come to the Darkside, followed four sites as they dealt with bad actors. Now Tim is going back to see how they're doing. Expect scary tales, surprising advice and just a little horror. Part consultant, part chaos-preventer and full-time bringer of doom (in a good way), Tim is on a mission to make WordPress safer one mildly panicked developer at a time. Join him at [WP Security 101](https://wpsecurity101.com). **Schedule:** 🔹 **6:00 PM** – Doors Open & Networking 🔹 **6:30 PM** – Welcome & Session 1: Simon Batchelar 🔹 **7:30 PM** – Short Break & Networking 🔹 **7:45 PM** – Session 2: Tim Nash 🔹 *
