Join our free, monthly wildlife gardening sessions at Bushmead Community Hub and help care for a thriving community garden once a month

Join staff from the Wildlife Trust for relaxed monthly wildlife gardening sessions at Bushmead Community Hub.

Together, we look after this beautiful and biodiverse community garden, which includes a range of wildlife‑friendly features such as a wildlife pond, bug hotels, a wild area with many species of wildflowers, bird feeders, and a variety of pollinator‑friendly plants. These features can be found at both the front and rear gardens, benefitting both people and wildlife. Whether you’re completely new to gardening or already have some experience, you’re very welcome to come along, get involved, and learn something new.

These sessions are family-friendly and designed to bring people together once a month, helping to build a welcoming community of local people who care for and enjoy this shared green space.

Activities will vary through the seasons and may include:

Restoring and maintaining wildlife-friendly garden features

Collecting seeds and learning how to grow plants

Growing and harvesting vegetables and salad
