About Sid Hudson Entertainments & Cali-R

Cali-R is Bedfordshire’s premier series of Motown and soul music events, established by DJ and promoter Sid Hudson.

The Legacy: Cali-R began as a tribute to Dunstable's iconic California Ballroom, a legendary music hub during the 1960s and 1970s.

The History: Sid organized the first reunion event in 1997 to recapture the spirit of the original venue. Today, it has grown into major regional events across Dunstable and Luton.

The Music: Expect the finest 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s Soul, Motown, Funk, and Reggae, featuring sets from Sid Hudson, guest DJs, and live acts throughout the year.
