THE CHILTERNS CHARITY CHALLENGE

27 km. Two causes. One community.

On Saturday 10 October 2026, Summit Seekrs will take on a 27.2 km hiking challenge through the Chiltern Hills, raising funds equally for Black Minds Matter UK and Cianna’s Smile.

Taking place on World Mental Health Day and during Black History Month, this challenge brings our community together to support two important causes.

Black Minds Matter UK provides culturally appropriate mental health support for Black people across the UK.

Cianna’s Smile supports children, young people and families affected by sickle cell through education, awareness and community support.

Cianna’s Smile is not currently listed on GiveWheel so we have requested that the charity be added. This matters to us because we want every participant to have their own fundraising page while contributing towards one collective target, with all donations divided equally between both charities. The fundraising link will be shared as soon as the platform confirms the addition.

📍 Start and finish: Tring Railway Station

🥾 Distance: 27.2 km

⛰️ Elevation gain: approximately 713 metres

⏰ Meet: 8:00 a.m.

🚶🏾‍♀️ Walk begins: 8:30 a.m. promptly

🎟️ Entry: £15

🎁 Supported by Berghaus

This is a challenging, full-day hike through Tring, Ivinghoe, Aldbury and Berkhamsted, featuring countryside paths, woodland, hills and canal sections. There is no rock climbing but participants must be comfortable walking for several hours and managing repeated climbs and descents.

Please bring a packed lunch, plenty of water, snacks, waterproof clothing and suitable hiking boots or trail shoes. A headtorch is also strongly recommended due to the distance and limited October daylight.

Travel is arranged separately. The suggested train departs London Euston at 7:09 a.m. and arrives at Tring at 7:51 a.m. Drivers can use Tring station car park, which costs approximately £8 for the day.

The £15 entry fee covers the finisher’s medal, certificate and Summit Seekrs’ running costs. Fundraising donations are separate and will be divided equally between Black Minds Matter UK and Cianna’s Smile through the confirmed fundraising arrangement.

Spaces are limited to approximately 15 hikers.

Join us as we walk 27 kilometres for stronger minds, greater sickle cell awareness and a community where nobody has to face their challenges alone.

Refunds are available up to seven days before the event. The route or event arrangements may be changed if weather, transport or safety conditions require it.
