A-Kin and Circolo Popolare have teamed up to create a one night only supper club celebrating Italian summer

Chef Alfonso and la squadra at Circolo Popolare are teaming up with Manchester favourites Sean and Gasim from A-Kin Club to throw a mega feast celebrating the main character of the Italian summer: the San Marzano tomato.

On 6th September, the crew will take over Circolo Popolare’s jasmine-covered trattoria for one final, sun‑soaked feast. Get ready for a massive, family‑style banquet celebrating the undisputed superstar of the Italian summer: the San Marzano tomato.

The San Marzano Dinner will take place on the 6th September at 6-10pmat Circolo Popolare, Manchester, with entertainment taking place all evening.

Tickets are £75 including 6 courses, or £95 with a wine pairing option.

Welcome Course - Pane e Pomodoro

Wood-fired focaccia with yellow datterino jam, smoked San Marzano and tomato water with basil oil.

Raw Course - Tomato Crudo & Cornish Bluefin Tuna

Heirloom tomatoes in different textures with Cornish Bluefin Tuna, strawberry vinegar and tomato

Crispy octopus and ricotta flatbread, with pickled fennel, mustard leaf and basil oil with a toasted fennel and lemon dusting

Pasta Course -

Oxtail tortellini, butter bean puree, oxtail + tomato jus, radicchio, preserved lemon gremolata

Burnt Tomato Bottoni (V)

Fresh pasta filled with smoked ricotta and confit tomato, served with burnt tomato consommé and parmigiano foam.

MAIN COURSE -

halibut (bone in) confit tomato sauce, basil oil, charred spring onion, olive tapenade, charred lemon & tomato oil

La Parmigiana (V)

Smoked aubergine, basil, three tomato textures, buffalo mozzarella espuma and crispy parmigiano crust.

DESSERT - Strawberry Tomato Basil

Strawberry sorbet, candied datterino tomatoes, basil cream, olive oil sponge and balsamic caramel
