BBCT Part B: Radiobiology & Medical Statistics (FRCR 1) will take place in Manchester from 30 November to 4 December 2026. The course starts at 09:40 on 30 November. Tickets cost between £292.60 and £724.50.

BBCT Part B: Radiobiology & Medical Statistics (FRCR 1) - Monday 30th November – Friday 4th December

The Cancer Studies Research Group based at The Christie Institute for Cancer Education & Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute play a major role in allowing Specialist Registrars in Clinical & Medical Oncology to fulfil the academic side of their training. This programme is run as a 5 day virtual lecture series and includes examination practice sessions. Monday 30th November to Wednesday 2nd December will cover Radiobiology and Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th December will cover Medical Statistics.

Low-to-Middle-Income Country (LMIC) course fees are offered at a 50% reduction. Countries eligible for LMIC reduced rate can be found here (https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519). Countries listed under the headings "Low-Income Economies" and Lower-Middle-Income Economies" will be considered. If you are currently domicile in an LMIC please email bbct-teaching@manchester.ac.uk attaching proof of employment from your current hospital/institute before booking and completing registration on Eventbrite.

Target Audience

The teaching is designed for trainee medical and clinical oncologists and incorporates the FRCR part 1 syllabus including candidates for the Royal College FRCR part 1 examinations.

Teaching method

The course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams over five consecutive days. Teaching will comprise of live lectures, pre-recorded lectures and examination practice sessions. Recordings will be shared following the course and accessible until September 2027, in line with RCR Spring and Autumn 2027 examinations.

£700 - Full week Monday 30 November - Friday 4 December 2026 includes live virtual Statistics Revision Workshop (5 January 2027)

£420 - Monday 30 November - Wednesday 2 December 2026 - Radiobiology

£280 - Thursday 3 - Friday 4 December 2026- Statistics - includes live virtual Statistics Revision Workshop (5 January 2027)
