About This Event

Big Fear bring their set to the basement of YES in Manchester on Friday 18 September 2026. The music builds from sparse, tension-heavy passages into fuller, more abrasive textures, with the trio’s rhythm section locking into grooves that feel both mechanical and unravelling. Vocal lines hover between muttered fragments and strained, full-throated delivery, while the guitar work favours jagged riffs and feedback over melody. The room’s low ceiling and concrete walls press the sound inwards, making the shifts in volume feel immediate rather than theatrical. Doors open at 7pm, tickets are £12 in advance, and the show is for over-18s only.
