About This Event

Join us for woodland management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees! The Details Join us for a day of woodland management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees! We will be improving access to the woodland by re-establishing and widening paths, cutting back vegetation around entrances and crown-lifting trees to allow more light to reach the woodland floor. We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community. All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day - you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults. The work we’ll be doing will involve using tools like loppers, secateurs, pruning saws and bow saws. Please arrive at 10am for the tool safety talk.
