Cohousing: Building Neighbourhoods We Need In The North will be held on September 28th at St Thomas Centre in Manchester. The event discusses creating great neighbourhoods for everyone, regardless of housing.
A Conversation on Housing, Community and the Future of Cohousing. How we can create great neighbourhoods that work for everyone.
Join UK Cohousing Network, Triangle Architects and Greater Manchester Community Led Homes for an evening with cohousing pioneer Charles Durrett, exploring how cohousing can help build stronger communities and scale community-led housing across the North.
The event is part of the Northern Way programme, aimed at growing cohousing across the region. It brings together communities, practitioners, housing organisations and policymakers to explore how cohousing can help build a stronger, fairer and more connected North.
US cohousing pioneer Charles Durrett will share insights from more than 40 years of experience designing and visiting hundreds of communities worldwide. Together with speakers from across the North of England and in conversation with the audience, he will explore how cohousing and community-led housing can help create the next generation of thriving communities.
The evening is rounded off with plenty of opportunity for networking, refreshments and a chance to buy signed copies of Charle's work, in this splende Manchester venue.
Ticket income will cover the costs of the event, with any surplus reinvested in training, support and advocacy to help grow the UK cohousing movement.
