One night. One room. Work that hasn't been seen before.

Different Parts is an exhibition series from Hosted by Josy. Vol. 02 brings together new mixed media work by Josy Ote, built in acrylic, oil pastel, ink and modelling paste, and shown for a single evening in Manchester.

The work is heavy and textured. Photographs flatten it. Standing in front of it is the point, and that is the reason this happens in a room rather than on a feed.

It is not just a show.

Vol. 02 includes a group challenge partway through the night. You will be put with people you did not arrive with, you will make something together, and one group leaves with an original piece created for the evening. No experience needed. Nobody is being judged on technique.

Who this is for

People who want an evening that is not another bar, who like being around art without being told to whisper, and who would rather leave having met someone. If you are thinking about buying a piece, every work on the walls is available, and Josy will be in the room all night to talk about any of them.
