About This Event

A female-only Muslim day trip to Derbyshire and the Peak District will depart on 30 August 2026 with a coach pick up from Manchester. The journey is offered by Rabbie's Tours and costs £71.00.

Join us for a female-only day trip, over the Bank Holiday weekend, to Derbyshire and the Peak District, courtesy of Rabbie's Tours. ️

Please arrive at the Manchester Coach Station (26 Store Street, Manchester, M1 2WD) by 08:45, in good time for the 09:00 departure (I will message you with further details after your ticket purchase).

First stop of the day is Eyam, "a village that faced unimaginable adversity when the plague broke out here in 1665. Today, this now lively village is packed with cottages marked with plaques that list the names of the plague victims. It might sound a bit macabre, but we assure you this little spot is as charming and beautiful as it is historic."

"Moved by stories of solidarity and strength", we will then "travel onwards to Bakewell" for lunch. "Not only is this town delicious to look at, but it's also the home of one of England's most famous desserts, the Bakewell Pudding, a beloved English dessert with a sweet almond topping."

In the afternoon, we will "venture to Monsal Head", where "there's an old rail line viaduct that emerges from green hills to create a unique vista. It's a gorgeous structure with an impressive history."

Castleton, a "quaint old town" that attracts travellers from all over the world for its traditional English charm", is next. Here, we will "wander the streets and learn its history", with an optional visit to the Peak's Cavern. This cave has an outrageous nickname, the largest natural entrance and used to be a hideout for robbers."

In the early evening, we will start to head back to Manchester "via a dramatic and winding mountain road known as the ‘Snake Pass'. Breathtaking views of rugged moorlands, sweeping valleys and heather-clad hills await (us) as one of England's most iconic roads twists and turns".
