☕ Join us for a relaxed and welcoming retirees social in South Manchester ~ designed for retired (and semi- retired!) locals. With so many fascinating retired professionals living locally, this is a lovely opportunity to build new connections and enjoy good company.

🫖 Whether you’ve recently retired or are simply looking to widen your social circle, this event is a chance to meet like-minded people in a friendly and low-pressure environment. Most people come by themselves, so you’ll be in excellent company if you do.

🤗 Jo will be there to greet everyone and make introductions, helping you get to know locals from Didsbury and the surrounding area.

🍰 Expect coffee, conversation, games and thoughtful activities designed to help people get to know each other naturally.

🎴 We’ll have conversation cards on the tables when you arrive to help spark interesting discussions and skip the small talk.

🧩 There’ll also be puzzles, quizzes, board games and light team activities throughout the morning ~ designed to make it easier to chat, laugh and connect with new people.

🎲 You’re free to move around different tables during the event, meet a variety of people and join whichever conversations or games appeal to you most.

📅 This event is hosted annually to create a space for retired people across South Manchester to form new friendships, discover shared interests and find people to enjoy things with throughout the year ahead ~ whether that’s walks, coffee catch-ups, theatre trips, lunches, travel, culture, sport or simply good conversation.

🥐 Drinks and food will be available to purchase throughout the morning, including both caffeinated and non-caffeinated options.

👕 Dress code: whatever makes you feel most comfortable and confident.

Who’s welcome?

Anyone retired or semi-retired looking to meet new people in South Manchester. You’re very welcome to come alone (most people do) or bring a friend along if you’d prefer.
