This talk brings together the public and private sector to discuss the state of the region and its direction.

As power shifts from Westminster to regions across the country, these areas have an opportunity to turn this power into positive outcomes. To build skills, increase employment, attract investment, and boost productivity, both the public and private sectors must understand not only current conditions but also the opportunities ahead. This discussion brings together key representatives from both sectors to explore the region’s strengths and weaknesses and examine how public-private collaboration can deliver beneficial outcomes.

The panel will have representatives from both the private and public sector. On the panel is the Chief Analyst of the Industrial Strategy Advisory Council, Department for Business, Science, Inovation and Trade, Jonathan Bateman, the Bank of England North West Regional Agent Ken Clark and ______ (TBC). Professor Jun Du, Managing Director of The Productivity Institute will chair the panel.
