Limbo Days takes you on a trip through How To Get Up and Fly: full-band soul, jazz, funk and Northern indie songwriting. Limbo Days takes-off with a debut album How to Get Up & Fly and headline show in the Copper Room at Band on the Wall — the night before the record lands. Classic soul and jazz filtered through Northern British wit: horn lines and Rhodes chords that owe a debt to Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder and the Daptone and Stax catalogues, wrapped around songs about getting knocked down and working out how to fly anyway. Expect the album played live and loud, plus a few older favourites. Support comes from the Yowies, with Funk Yeah! — Manchester's all-vinyl funk and soul DJ collective — on the decks either side of the set. How to Get Up & Fly is released Friday 2 October 2026. Physical copies will be available on the night, before they hit the shops. Advance tickets are limited and the Copper Room is a small room — book early.
