The topic 'MSA Access to Architecture – Who Gets to Become an Architect?' will be discussed on September 25, 2026, at Arcadis in Manchester. General admission costs £5 plus VAT for students and graduates receive a rate of £3 plus VAT.
The UK architecture profession is at its best when it brings together people with different cultural, social and lived experiences. These perspectives enrich our profession, our workplaces and the spaces we design. But how accessible are the routes into architecture for everyone who has the talent, ambition and passion to join the profession? From immigration and visa requirements affecting international graduates to educational pathways that can present challenges for mature students, there are a range of experiences that can make the journey into architecture more difficult to navigate. MSA and Urbanistas NW are coming together for a collaborative discussion exploring access to architecture, the different routes into the profession, the difficulties encountered along the way and what we can do about it.
