You practise on simulation arms with real clinical equipment, from vein selection and the order of draw to aftercare, following National Occupational Standard CHS132. Pass the written and practical assessments and you leave with a CPD-accredited certificate, accepted by the NHS and verifiable online. Your practical day takes place at PLAB Guide Training Centre on Moseley Road, Levenshulme, which is convenient for learners travelling from Levenshulme, Longsight, Burnage, Didsbury, Stockport and the surrounding areas, with free on-road parking nearby. No previous healthcare experience is needed. This phlebotomy course suits school leavers, career changers, healthcare assistants and clinicians from across Greater Manchester, including Stockport, Salford and Trafford.
