Who's playing for the planet?

Zdenka

With foundations in Alternative rock, Zdenka’s music morphs and changes with every project, while still retaining their core style and personal touch. They've been described as "enthralling pounding alt rock to dance your socks off to".

Formed by Kiran Weston (Hong Kong) and Alexander Kelling (Glasgow), who met at Xaverian College in Manchester, Zdenka writes and produces as a duo. They perform live with a five-piece live band featuring George Belshaw (drums), Charlie Flowers (bass) and Emily Clarke (vocals, tambourine and stylophone).

FFO: Maruja, Black Country New Road, Lime Garden, The Strokes, Ray Bull.

Harlettes

Harlettes are an alternative post-punk band based in Manchester. Forming in October of 2025, the 4-piece are already cementing themselves as part of Manchester’s New Wave music scene, selling out their debut headline show at the Rat & Pigeon. Their music channels catharsis through sharp storytelling and visceral dynamics, blending heavy, driving riffs with vocals that move between fragility and force.  Composed of Emma Taylor (Vocals and Bass), Julian Hodgetts (Guitar), Ted Lund (Vocals and Guitar) and Jonah Puente (Drums).

FFO: Wolf Alice, Queens of the stone age, Fugazi, English Teacher, and Fontaines DC.

Lady Petrol

Blasting into Manchester music scene in summer 2026, Lady Petrol have already found a strong footing. Their gritty girl power alt-rock with spiky guitars and introspective lyrics are not to be missed.

FFO: Wet Leg, Honeyglaze, TV Girl, Mitski, Hole.
