As we celebrate Black History Month, we’re taking time to celebrate creativity, community and the power of storytelling. On the 30th October we're screening Hope is a Word at the Renold Building.
Hope is a Word , by film producer Maria Galliani Dyrvik, follows Nigerian poet and activist Nnimmo Bassey journey as he reflects on decades of environmental activism in the Niger Delta and asks an important question: what happens when the next generation picks up the pen?
After the screening, we’ll continue the conversation with a special creative workshop led by two local poets, inviting you to explore your own relationship with creativity, community and hope.
