"Sentient Robot have always explored the strange relationship between humanity and technology and their blend of retro-inspired indie pop with modern electronic flourishes continues to reflect that identity. Influences such as Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem and David Bowie can certainly be felt throughout but the band never sound like they're simply copying their heroes." Reyt Good Magazine
'Sentient Robot' is a 5 piece band from Manchester (UK). Formed by singer Nat O'Brien and Steve Marsden (Guitarist and Producer) who are joined by drummer Pete Marshall (Paul Heaton & Jaqui Abbot, Liam Frost and the Slowdown Family), Sam Morris on bass (Alfie/Bleep Seals/Marillion) and Andrew Stewardson on keys (The Mock Turtles).
Sentient Robot blends Indie Synth pop, blending 80's inspired and updated synth sounds often tilting into alt Indie Rock. drawing on influences such as David Bowie, Talking Heads, LCD Sound System and War on Drugs. Rhythmic grooves, irresistible hooks, glockenspiels, sweet sweet saxophone and O'Brien's sometimes haunting, sometimes soaring, sometimes playful vocal melodies and rich lyrics.
Tom Hingley is the former lead singer with the classic line up of Inspiral Carpets, where for 22 years (1989- 2011) he sang on all their chart hits, appeared on Top of the Pops and toured the world and elsewhere.
Tom Hingley was lead singer with 'Madchester' band, Inspiral Carpets until 2011. His signature vocal sound can be heard on all the 'glory days' hits including 'This is How it Feels', and 'Saturn 5', and helped catapult the band to stardom in the early nineties. 25 years and 15 top 40 singles later, and Tom continues to enjoy a successful solo career that started with his debut acoustic album, "Keep Britain Untidy", released in 2000 on Tom's own label, Newmemorabilia. Tom plays original music; an eclectic mix of Folk, Soul, Gospel and Blues with plenty of heart, as well as acoustic renditions of Inspiral classics. With his inimitable voice, and raw, honest performances - complete with slide guitar! - Tom continues to entertain fans old and new nationwide.
Tom is currently recording a new solo album due for Spring 2027 release , produced by Jo Dudderidge of The Travelling Band and Later Youth fame.
Kalooki are a new alt rock three piece from Manchester. Guitar and vocals - Tom Brydon (formerly of Letters To Fiesta and Reverend Coyote) fronts the band on guitar and vocals. Tony Burke and Marlon Solomon make up the rhythm section on bass and drums respectively.
This will be Kalooki's debut gig, expect and driving rhythms and haunting melodies.
Last year saw Tom tour in Hong Kong and Bologna , this May saw him share the stage at the memorial concert for Mani with Zack Starkey Aziz Abraham , Barry Fratelli , Dave McCabe Tom Meighan and many others
