Join us at Balance Taproom on Wednesday 21st October for our third installment of Supper Club Cinema where we enjoy an evening of film, food and fermented beverages from around the world. Hold onto your sauerkraut, this time we're heading to Germany!

Written and directed in 1926 by pioneering German filmmaker, Lotte Reiniger, The Adventures of Prince Achmed stands as the first animated feature film in existence (and one of the great achievements of cinema's Silent period), and yet it's spellbinding atmosphere, dazzling techniques and thrilling story remain fresh to this day! An awe-inspiring fairytale loosely based on One Thousand and One Nights, Reiniger's adventure story follows the trials of Prince Achmed as he fights back home to save his sister from the clutches of an evil sorcerer. Filled with unforgetable heroes, monstrous villains and astounding special effects, The Adventures of Prince Achmed invites you to a wonderous world of magic and mystery.

Alongside the screening, there will be a three-course menu to enjoy consisting of German classics made by Holly Pickles and a beer pairing from Balance Brewing to complement the flavours.
