Welcome to Manchester's first TBR Book Festival 2026!

Join us for a celebration of stories, creativity, and the incredible world of independent publishing at TBR Book Festival, in Manchester, taking place on Saturday 12th September 2026 at the iconic Band on the Wall in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Whether you're a lifelong book lover, an avid collector, or simply looking for your next favourite read, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Browse and discover books from 20–30 talented independent authors, representing a wide range of genres including fantasy, romance, thrillers, crime, horror, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, children's books and more. Meet the authors behind the stories, have your books signed, chat about their writing journeys, and uncover hidden literary gems you won't find on every bookshop shelf.

Alongside our fantastic authors, you'll also have the opportunity to explore a selection of bookish small businesses and creators, offering everything from beautiful bookmarks and candles to artwork, journals, book sleeves, stickers and other literary-inspired treasures.

With tonnes of activities throughout the day, including awards, give-aways, raffles, competitions, book passports, interviews, content creation, photo area, chill out areas and so on.

This isn't just a book fair—it's a chance to become part of a thriving community of readers, writers and creators who share one thing in common: a love of books.
