Harvesting the impact of a full band, Nines explores themes of migration, power and destiny through punchy lyricism and a captivating rhythm

The independent artist's most ambitious project yet brings together Afrobeats, soul, trap, drill and film noir storytelling in a world built around one unforgettable character.

Musically, the album refuses to stay in one lane. At its foundation is Afrobeats, but the project also pulls from traditional African sounds, soul, R&B, trap, drill and jersey club. The result is a sound that feels both familiar and unexpected, rooted in Africa while speaking a global language.

Rather than creating a project that ends when the music stops, Teelay Nines has built a character-led universe with the potential toextend far beyond a single release. Accompanying the album is a short film titled One Ticket Home, a five minute visual introduction to the world of LAGOSTRADAMUS. Inspired by classic film noir and reimagined through a modern African lens, the film follows the character through a stylised version of 1950s London, blending vintage aesthetics with contemporary storytelling.

That vision will come to life later in 2026 through a series of immersive listening and viewing experiences planned for Bristol,

London, Manchester and Lagos.

Guests will experience live performances from Teelay Nines and his band, special screenings of One Ticket Home, and a carefully crafted environment designed to bring the world of LAGOSTRADAMUS into the real world.
